Incident and Variance Reporting

Two of the critical success factors in improving quality and safety are standardizing processes and reducing variation. Reducing variation can be enhanced through the tracking and trending of incidents. Although tracking of incidents, for the most part, is standard practice in the senior housing industry, many organizations lack the ability to trend this data and report key components of this information in a clear and concise manner. At HBRA, we have leveraged our years of experience to create simplified, user-friendly tools to assist our clients with tracking, trending, and reporting of incidents. Our tools help capture essential incident related data and succinctly report the information to management in order to furnish them with the ability to identify key trends so as to determine applicable prevention strategies.

Our organization has applied for certification as a Federally listed Patient Safety Organization capable of providing protected incident reporting that can be shared in the national incident database and satisfying the reporting requirements of the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005.
