Hummingbird Risk Advisors, LLC was founded in 2008 by Kymberlee Dougherty Tysk, with the goal to create an organization based on sound risk management practices that focuses on improving the quality of care provided by the senior housing industry.

Hummingbird brings its clients the benefit of a fully integrated robust team of experienced risk management professionals. We focus on quality of care through the reduction of liability risks and seek opportunities to assist in the implementation of process improvement, thereby allowing clients to remain attentive to their business in providing high-quality care and services. The Hummingbird team includes licensed insurance brokers, clinicians, claims adjusters, and attorneys.
Hummingbird does not place insurance nor directly handle acquisition/divestiture transactions. Instead, we partner with our client's legal, financial, and insurance partners to provide impartial recommendations for industry best practice solutions.
